Apple pie filling gets an upgrade from a few drops of brandy or apple-flavored liqueur and can become a topping for cheesecake. Simply stir a teaspoon of brandy or apple liqueur into ½ cup of apple pie filling and place a dollop of the apple mixture onto a slice of cheesecake.
Add a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg to a half cup of leftover cherry pie filling. Spread across the top of a defrosted cheesecake, and sprinkle with candied pecans or walnuts to make an exquisite cherry cheesecake in a flash.
Peach pie filling brings a taste of summer to your dessert table. Toast a couple of slices of pound cake, top with peach pie filling and either vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Drizzle with almond liqueur, if desired.
